The Basilica of St. Bartholomew on the Island, is located in a small island in the Tiber River in Rome. The Basilica was founded at the end of the 10th century by Otto III, Holy Roman Emperor. It contains the relics of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, and is located as I mentioned it on Tiber Island, on the site of the former temple of Aesculapius. It is a beautiful minor Basilica in Rome.
En medio del Rio Tiber esta una isla y en ella se encuentra la Iglesia de San Bartolome Apostol. Se llega atravesando el puente Fabricio. En esta pequena basilica estan los restos de el apostol Bartolome. En los altares laterales se encuentran reliquias de los martires contemparaneos, aquellos que han muerto en los ultimos anos y no has sido declarados oficialmente santos pero que han dado su vida por Cristo. Es una basilica y hermosa.
